S10 E14: 'How to encourage critical thinking’ with Dr Arlene Egan
Monday 21 July 2025

About this episode
In this conversation I unpack what critical thinking truly means, why it’s essential for navigating today’s business challenges, what impact AI is having on critical thinking and how critical thinking differs from criticism. I’m delighted to be joined by Dr. Arlene Egan, CEO of Roffey Park Institute who support individuals and organisations to thrive in ever-changing environments. With over 25 years’ experience across executive education, sport, and government, Arlene’s expertise is grounded in her research on how thinking shapes high performance. She holds a PhD in Psychology from University College Dublin and is the author of "Confidence in Critical Thinking."
