What type of information we have
We currently collect and process the following information:
1.    Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics, specifically your first name, last name and email address.
2.    Non-personal information namely
  • Your aggregated usage information and technical information transmitted by your device, including certain software and hardware information (e.g. the type of browser and operating system your device uses, language preference, access time, etc.) in order to enhance the functionality of our website.
  • Information about your activity on our website (e.g. pages viewed, online browsing, clicks, actions, etc.).

This website is not designed for or directed at children. Under no circumstances shall we allow the use of our services by minors without prior consent or authorisation by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from minors. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with Personal Information without their consent, he or she should contact us at helen@helenbeedham.com.

How we get the information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you if you choose voluntarily to sign up to our mailing list.
We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios: device information, and cookies.

Device information
This includes includes geolocation data, IP addresses, unique identifiers (e.g. MAC address and UUID) and other information as a result of you visiting and browsing our website.
Cookies
A "cookie" is a small piece of information that a website assigns to your device while you are viewing a website. Cookies are very helpful and can be used for various different purposes. Cookies do not contain any information that personally identifies you, but Personal Information that we store about you may be linked, by us, to the information stored in and obtained from cookies. You may remove the cookies by following the instructions of your device preferences; however, if you choose to disable cookies, some features of our website may not operate properly and your online experience may be limited.
We use a tool which is based on the Snowplow Analytics technology to collect information about your use of our website. The tool collects information such as how often users access our website, which pages they visit when they do so, etc. The tool does not collect any Personal Information and is only used by our website hosting and operating service provider to improve our website and services.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

(b) We have a contractual obligation. In return for signing up to our mailing list, we will send you our newsletter and keep you informed of any offers.

What we do with the information we have
We use the information that you have given us as follows:
1.    Communicating with you:
2.    Sending you our newsletter and any offers if you have signed up to our mailing list
3.    Responding to any website query or client service issue you may have
4.    Providing you with promotional materials concerning our services which we believe may interest you.  
5.    For statistical and analytical purposes, intended to improve our website.
We don’t share this information with third parties, except as described in this Privacy Policy.

How we store your information
We take great care in implementing and maintaining the security of the website and your information.  If you have chosen to sign up to our mailing list, we store your contact details on Mailchimp’s secure servers.  Although we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information, we cannot be responsible for the acts of those who gain unauthorised access or abuse our website, and we make no warranty, express, implied or otherwise, that we will prevent such access.
If you have signed up to our mailing list, we provide you with the means to opt out of receiving further communications from us. If you unsubscribe, we will remove your name and email address from our mailing list.

Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances.
Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
