Event & Programme Booking T&Cs

EVENT/PROGRAMME BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions apply between me Helen Beedham, trading as Helen Beedham Consulting Ltd, and you, the user of my website www.helenbeedham.com and/or event/programme participant.

 

1.    Event/programme bookings

1.1.      Your place at the event/on the programme is only confirmed once your booking and payment have been received by me. No guarantee as to availability of places will be made prior to your booking, and my website does not indicate availability.

1.2.      Bookings by individuals under the age of 18 will not be accepted.

1.3.      In order for me to manage your booking and communicate with you as an event/programme participant, I will require your first name, last name and a valid email address. This information will be automatically collected during the booking and payment process. For my privacy policy please click here.

1.4.      Your booking is for the specified event/programme only and does not give you access to any other events/programmes I may be running.

1.5.      Your booking is in your name only and your place cannot be transferred to another person. 

1.6.      During your participation at the event/on the programme for which you have booked, you must not use obscene or vulgar language or submit content that is unlawful or otherwise objectionable including, but not limited to abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, ageist, sexist or racist language or content that is intended to promote or incite violence.


2.    The event/programme

2.1.      Descriptions of the event/programme content will be provided on my website www.helenbeedham.com and in my marketing communications. These are correct at the time of publishing/sending.

2.2.      I reserve the right to cancel or change the time or date of the event or change its venue, content and the speaker(s) at any time at my discretion.

2.3.      I reserve the right to make any amendments to the number and content of events/programmes offered.

2.4.      I accept no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage which you might suffer or incur in the event that you are unable to access the event/programme or its recording due to technical or technological constraints or limitations.


3.    Event/programme communications

3.1.      By booking your place at an event/on a programme, you will automatically be subscribed to my mailing list in order that I can send you essential programme-related communications. As a subscriber you'll also receive my monthly newsletter and occasional special offers/invitations.  You may edit your subscription preferences here.

3.2.      You may unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time after the programme has ended. If you unsubscribe before the event/programme has ended, you may not receive the necessary links to participate or any resources shared during the event/programme.

3.3.      If you have any query regarding your booking(s), please email me at hello@helenbeedham.com. I endeavour to reply to all queries within 24 hours but cannot guarantee this.


4.    Intellectual property

4.1.      All content relating to my events/programmes, unless it is content shared by participants, including, but not limited to, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, sound clips, video clips, event/programme recordings, data compilations, page layout, underlying code and software is the property of Helen Beedham Consulting Ltd or other relevant third parties.

4.2.      By proceeding to book onto one or more event(s)/programme(s) you acknowledge that such material is protected by applicable United Kingdom and International intellectual property and other laws.

4.3.      You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, store or in any other fashion re-use material from my events/programmes unless otherwise indicated on the website, during the event/programme or unless I have given you express written permission to do so.

4.4.      Where a recording of my event or programme is to be made available to event/programme participants after a live session has ended, that recording will be available for the period of time specified in the event/programme description and communications. 


5.    Pricing

5.1.      All prices shown are in GBP.

5.2.      All pricing information on my website www.helenbeedham.com and in any marketing or promotional emails is correct at the time of going online/sending.

5.3.      I reserve the right to change prices and alter or remove any special offers from time to time and as necessary.

5.4.      In the event that prices are changed during the period between the time you make a booking  and me processing that order and taking payment, then the price that was valid at the time of your order will apply.

5.5.      Prices for my talks, events, programmes, consultancy and other work include VAT and this will be clearly indicated on the booking page, in marketing email and in any emails/contracts confirming consultancy support.  Prices for my books do not normally attract VAT but other book-related resources may do.

5.6.      In accordance with HM Revenue & Customs, my business Helen Beedham Consulting Ltd is liable for VAT and is VAT registered with VAT number 356 8931 54.


6.    Cancellation by you

6.1.      If you wish to cancel your booking, please email me at hello@helenbeedham.com to request this. I may not be able to refill your place at the event/on the programme at short notice, so advance notice of at least 1 week is politely requested.


7.    Cancellation by me

7.1.    I reserve the right to reject and refund any booking for any reason.

7.2.    I reserve the right to cancel the event/programme if circumstances arise that mean I am unable to deliver it as planned. If this happens, I will notify you within 24 hours by email at the email address you have provided during your booking. I will also notify you of any later dates on which this same event/programme is due to run and dates for any different events/programmes that are planned.

7.3.      If the same event/programme is available on a later date and places are still available, I will transfer your booking to the later date if you confirm via return email within a reasonable period of time that you would like this.

7.4.      If a different event/programme is available at another date and places are still available for booking, I will transfer your booking to this different event/programme if you confirm via return email within a reasonable period of time that you would like me to do this. Any increase in ticket price for the different event/programme is payable by you, and if the new ticket price is cheaper than the original booking fee you have already paid, I will refund the difference to you.


8.    Refunds

8.1.      A full refund will be provided at your written request within 14 days if you cancel more than 2 full working days before the day on which the event/programme starts. For example, if the event/programme starts at 10am UK time on a Tuesday, you will need to email your cancellation request to me by midnight of the preceding Thursday. Bank Holidays and weekends do not count as a working day.

8.2.      A 50% refund will be provided at your written request within 14 days if you cancel less than 2 full working days before the day on which the event/programme starts.

8.3.      No refunds will be issued if you cancel once the event/programme has begun, except in very exceptional cases at the discretion of Helen Beedham.

8.4.      In the event that I have cancelled your booking as per clause 7.1, I will issue a full refund within 14 days.

8.5.      In the event that I have cancelled an event or programme as per clause 7.2, you will receive a full refund within 14 days if this is your wish. As per clauses 4.3 and 4.4 above, you may alternatively choose to transfer your booking to another event/programme if places are available.


9.    Limit of liability

9.1.      It is understood and agreed that Helen Beedham, trading as Helen Beedham Consulting Ltd, will not be liable to you, the user of my website www.helenbeedham.com and/or event/programme participant, or any agent or associate of yours, for any mistake or error in judgment or for any act or omission done in good faith and believed to be within the scope or authority conferred or applied by this agreement.


10. Complaints

10.1.   If you are unhappy with your booking or your participation in an event/programme for any reason, please email me at hello@helenbeedham.com.

10.2.   I will aim to resolve your complaint within 2 working days, excluding Bank Holidays, weekends and my annual leave. If I am not able to do so, I will provide you with an acknowledgement. After I have had an opportunity to investigate your concerns, I shall issue you with a final response.
