About this episode

What if the secret to thriving at work isn’t about being exceptional, but about being good enough? In today’s world of relentless performance pressure, the idea of “good enough” leadership and contribution feels both radical and refreshing. In this episode I explore why striving for “good enough” matters, how our family patterns shape the way we work, why managing a team can be surprisingly similar to parenting, and what gets in the way of achieving balance.

My guest is Michael Skapinker, careers counsellor, leadership educator, and contributing editor at the Financial Times, where he spent 34 years as a reporter, senior editor, and award-winning columnist. He is also the author of Inside the Leaders’ Club: how top companies deal with pressing business issues.
