This checklist offers prompts to guide you in reflecting on your personal time choices and habits.

By stepping back from the detail of our day jobs, we can become more aware of unconscious patterns we’ve fallen into and make more thoughtful decisions about how we invest our own valuable time at work (and home).

Use this to kickstart your own discussions as a team about how you can work more productively and ensure every individual feels heard, able to contribute and to grow professionally.

By surfacing and resolving any issues, assumptions and needs, you can embrace time flexibility more successfully. An example of a completed time contract is included.

Being a successful manager and/or leader requires specific people and organisational skills, not just technical expertise (being good at the day job). Managing time successfully across the team or business requires us to be aware of our own time habits and choices, and how these impact the team’s productivity, wellbeing and diversity; this checklist helps managers and leaders to do exactly that.
